Welcome to my interview with Mike Donoghue about ConveyMED, the #1 Podcast App for Medical Education. As a former physical therapist, Mike understands the importance of ongoing clinical education for the sake of optimal patient care. If you want to hear about audio-based medical education, you need to hear this conversation!
According to Mike, “ConveyMED has made a significant investment into Pharmacy Mobile Education with the ConveyMED platform and partnership with the Pharmacy Podcast Network . My partner & co-Founder, Chris West, is the Vice President of Education for PPN and was at the first Mobile Education in Pharmacy Symposium earlier this year with the leaders of several pharmacy schools. Our shared vision is to support pharmacists and pharmacy students with the very best in mobile education.”
Bio (January 2023)

Highlights from our conversation
Podcasting can be used to educate a range of healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, pharmacy students, and pharmacy technicians. According to Mike, when you go into healthcare, you commit to lifelong learning. Meeting licensing requirements and staying current with the latest clinical practice guidelines is necessary for healthcare professionals to best serve patients.
ConveyMED is a multi-medium platform that partners with educators, such as independent creators, associations, and schools of pharmacy. ConveyMED App users can listen, look at slides, and engage in quizzes and tests. Pharmacists can earn CE.

There is paid content and free content in the ConveyMED app. Individual episodes and bundles of episodes are for sale. Pay using Apple Pay or Google Play.
The best-selling pharmacy CE app is the NAPLEX Podcast. Cost is $84.99 (as of January 2023). There is a 3-episode free trial.
Some people like to learn in lengthy chunks, while others prefer to learn 15 minutes at-a-time. ConveyMED offers “spaced” learning that is on the shorter end of the spectrum.
What’s next for ConveyMED? Among their many offerings, Mike and his product development team will offer a “flipped classroom model” this year. Learners can consume content to “prime the pump” before they take a live class. Private access podcasts for organizations or individual schools of pharmacy could be next too.
